Privacy Policy

1. Overview

RosterOdds is a fantasy sports analysis platform that provides a trade analyzer, mock draft simulator, account profiles, and related tools. Users may also connect their fantasy sports league (via a supported platform) to generate personalized trade and roster analysis.

We respect user privacy and intentionally minimize the personal information we collect.

2. Information We Collect

A. League Data (Provided via Platform Authorization)

When you choose to connect a fantasy league through a supported platform, we may retrieve:

• League settings
• Team names
• Rosters and player ownership
• Matchups and schedule
• Player availability
• Transaction history

Authentication occurs directly with the fantasy platform. We never see, receive, or store your username or password.

B. Account and Profile Data

When you create an account, we collect and store account-related information such as:

• Email address
• Username
• Optional profile fields (display name, bio, timezone, favorite team)
• Optional profile avatar image

Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Passwords are not stored in plaintext by RosterOdds.

C. Technical & Usage Data

We automatically collect limited technical data necessary to operate the service:

• IP address
• Browser/device type
• Pages visited
• Interaction events (e.g., trade analyses performed)
• Cookies and analytics identifiers

This information is used strictly for functionality, performance monitoring, and abuse prevention.

D. Aggregate Service Metrics

We maintain an anonymous, aggregate trade counter that tracks the total number of trade analyses performed across all users. This counter contains no personal or identifying information.

3. Sharing Features

RosterOdds allows you to share trade analysis results via your device's native sharing capabilities (text message, email, social media, etc.) or by copying a shareable link.

When you share a trade, player names and analysis settings are encoded in the URL so that others can view the same trade. No personal data is included in shared links.

Sharing uses your device's built-in Web Share API. RosterOdds does not send messages on your behalf, does not collect phone numbers or contact information, and does not access your contacts or messaging apps.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information solely to:

• Generate roster and trade analysis
• Create and manage your account profile
• Authenticate users and secure accounts
• Improve projections and algorithms
• Maintain service reliability
• Prevent misuse or automated abuse

We do not sell personal data and do not build advertising profiles based on league activity.

5. Data Storage & Retention

RosterOdds stores imported league data as temporary cached analysis data.

• Data automatically expires and is deleted after 60 days of inactivity
• Disconnecting a league stops future updates
• Authentication tokens are not permanently stored
• Account profile data remains until account deletion request or account removal

6. Data Deletion

You may request immediate deletion at any time:

We will remove associated stored league data within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and local storage in three categories. You can change your choices anytime via Cookie preferences in the footer.

• Necessary: Required for the site to work (e.g. remembering your cookie choices, theme). These cannot be turned off.
• Analytics: Help us understand how visitors use the site (e.g. which pages are used). We use this only to improve the product, not to build advertising profiles about you.
• Advertising: If we show ads in the future, this category would allow more relevant ads. We do not currently run personalized advertising on RosterOdds. If that changes, we will only use ad-related cookies if you opt in.

Your choices are stored in your browser and persist across sessions. Disabling non-necessary cookies may limit analytics only; the tools will still work.

8. Third-Party Services

RosterOdds is not affiliated with or endorsed by ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, the NFL, or any fantasy sports provider. We use the following types of third-party services to operate the site:

• Hosting and delivery: The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Pages and assets may be served via Cloudflare’s network.
• Analytics (optional): If you accept analytics cookies, we may use Google Analytics to measure usage. Google’s privacy policy applies to that data.
• Fantasy data: Player and ranking data may be supplied by third-party fantasy data providers (e.g. Fantasy Nerds) for analysis only.
• Authentication provider: We use Supabase to provide account authentication, password reset, and profile-related storage infrastructure.
• FantasyHype: RosterOdds features links and references to FantasyHype (fantasyhype.com). We may operate shared login and account infrastructure between RosterOdds and FantasyHype. Where shared authentication is enabled, account identifiers and authentication status may be used across both services to support login and subscription access.

We do not sell your data to these or any other parties.

9. Children's Privacy

This service is intended for users 13 years or older.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
